The Board of Directors for Phalombe Youth Arms Organisation (PYAO) met with the organisation's management in a meeting that set the tone for evolutionary progress which summarises PYAO's commitment on empowerment and progress.
The meeting commenced with the Management's insightful presentation on the successful implementation of the Gender Action Learning System (GALS) project with funding from Propel Health, which bolstered gender equality, fostering an environment where voices of young people were heard and empowered.
During the meeting, attention also dropped towards the recent approval of the AmplifyChange’s funded project entitled 'Youth-led Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Advocacy' by the Phalombe District Executive Committee as the board and management jointly envisioned the impact this project will have on the community.
The Board Chairperson, Christopher Misuku, expressed his appreciation for the Management's diligence and strategic insight in steering PYAO's endeavours.
"I commend you the Management for executing recent crucial projects efficiently, setting a benchmark for impactful work. Our strategic plan is a proof to our commitment towards progress," remarked Misuku, reflecting PYAO's dedication to fostering meaningful change.
Executive Director, Vincent Thom, articulated the organisation's solid dedication to the welfare of its projects’ beneficiaries and participants.
"PYAO remains steadfast in our commitment to serving the community. Our primary focus is on ensuring the maximum benefit for the individuals touched by our projects," shared Thom.
The meeting which reflected on what the organisation has done in the year of 2023 and expected to do in forthcoming year of 2024 was held at Nalipiri Eco Resort on 28th – 29th , 2023 in Mulanje district.
