PYAO is a youth-led NGO established in 2012 (formerly Phalombe Youth Arms Organization). We exist to create an enabling environment for youth participation in development and improve access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)..
We are fully registered with Malawi’s legal and regulatory institutions and work hand-in-hand with government, civil society, and global partners to turn youth potential into community impact.

Our Impact
Over the past decade, PYAO has: • Trained and mobilized thousands of youths in SRHR, leadership, and advocacy. • Reduced gender-based violence through community dialogues and survivor support. • Expanded youth participation in governance at district and national levels. • Introduced green energy and climate-smart farming solutions. • Partnered with national and global organizations to scale innovation across Malawi.
